Curious as to the difference between the Magic Wand Tool and
the Quick Selection Tool? They may seem very similar, but there are a few key
differences
Magic Wand Tool:
This selection method helps you select
areas of a similar color. When you click with the Magic Wand, Photoshop will
select connecting areas that are of the same color, based on the tolerance
(which is set on the Options Bar). The higher the tolerance value, the more
will be selected.
Quick Selection Tool:
This selection method works very
similar to a brush, allowing you to brush over the areas you wish to turn into
a selection. By default, every stroke adds to your selection. If you wish to
deselect some areas, hold down your Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) key and
brush.
